Cox Fleet is proud to announce open enrollment into our next FleeTec Academy class, a paid educational program that leads to a path to becoming a full‑time Diesel and Trailer Technician. Compensation & Training 5 weeks of paid classroom training at our Academy Campus. All travel expenses, hotel accommodation, and a meals stipend are covered. Stipend of $250 per week (taxed) during the first week. Hourly base rate ranges from $15.10 to $22.60 per hour, varying by location and candidate qualifications. Upon successful completion of the first phase, hourly rate increases to $21 per hour. Additional training and pay progression will be available throughout the multi‑year program. Responsibilities Attend full‑time classroom training for five (5) weeks. Travel to the Academy with company-paid expenses, hotel, meals, and stipend. Pair with a Lead Technician in your market for hands‑on training after the classroom phase. Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs at customer locations as a Mobile Mechanic. Maintain and keep a toolbox of hand tools provided during training. Return to the Academy for additional classroom study as needed to develop skill set. Successfully complete background checks, driving record checks, pre‑employment drug testing, and a physical examination. Qualifications Desire to start a career as a Diesel and Trailer Technician and become a Mobile Mechanic. Willingness and ability to study hard for 5 weeks away from home. Maturity level to focus on the task at hand. Technical aptitude and passion for fixing vehicles. Ability to use an iPad. Must be 21 years of age or older to drive the company’s trucks. High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of education is preferred but not required. Current authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.
