Project Estimator
Join our team as a Project Estimator in Saginaw MI. Mandatory occasional travel to Durand MI. Pay rate $21-$24/hr plus commissions. Construction background will be helpful in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Analysis: Review blueprints, site plans, and specifications to determine project scope.
- Cost Estimation: Compute accurate costs for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
- Bid Management: Solicit, analyze, and manage bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Documentation: Prepare and submit detailed, timely proposals and cost reports to stakeholders.
- Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and contractors.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential financial risks and suggest cost-saving solutions.
- Site Visits: Perform site visits to verify conditions and improve accuracy.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-3+ years of experience in project estimation or construction.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and specialized estimation software (e.g., Sage, Bluebeam).
- Skills: Strong mathematical ability, analytical skills, and extreme attention to detail.
