Instrumental Music Teacher

Sun Mountain Community School is a public Waldorf-inspired charter school in Santa Fe, NM, where we believe music is not a supplement to education — it is central to the development of the whole child.

We are seeking a part-time Instrumental Music Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year.

This half-time position provides instrumental music instruction to students in grades 3–8, fostering musical literacy, ensemble skills, and a joyful relationship with music that carries through a child's life.

Qualifications include:

• Degree in Music Education, Music Performance, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency on at least one instrument
• Experience teaching music to children preferred
• Familiarity with Waldorf educational philosophy a plus
• NM teaching licensure or eligibility to obtain
