School Bus Driver

Operation Breakthrough is a not-for-profit organization that helps children who are living in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving and educational environment. Operation Breakthrough strives to support and empower the children's families through advocacy, referral services and emergency aid.

Job Summary:

The school bus driver will be responsible for driving 15-72 passenger buses to and from Operation Breakthrough and designated locations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A safe driver with a good driving record, Class A or B commercial driver's license (CDL), passenger endorsement (P), school bus endorsement (S)

Essential Job Functions:

• Drive a 15-72 passenger bus in a safe and courteous manner
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant driving experience
• Transport students to and from area schools
• Transport children on field trips and other special events, as needed
• Make sure that all passengers are delivered safely from the bus to their destination
• Report mileage and activities to supervisor on a log provided with the vehicle
• Clean, fuel and perform minor routine maintenance on the vehicles upon each use as needed.
• Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds as needed
• Ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals within and out of the agency and to project a positive public image for oneself and Operation Breakthrough
• Other duties as assigned
