About the Role
Ed Voyles is looking for an experienced and dependable Used Car Technician to join our service team. In this role, you'll inspect, diagnose, repair, and recondition pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our quality and safety standards before being offered for sale. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive inspections on used vehicles.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, and brake systems.
- Complete vehicle reconditioning, including maintenance services and repairs.
- Perform oil changes, tire services, alignments, battery replacements, and other routine maintenance.
- Identify recommended repairs and document findings accurately.
- Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work closely with the service and sales departments to meet inventory deadlines.
- Test-drive vehicles as needed to verify repairs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an automotive technician, preferably with used vehicle reconditioning.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to perform repairs on a wide variety of makes and models.
- ASE Certifications are preferred but not required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
