Data Center Technician

Key Responsibilities Install and decommission network and cabling infrastructure in data center environments Pull, route, and terminate low-voltage copper and fiber cabling Perform cable testing (continuity, copper, fiber) and validate connectivity Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and port maps Install cable pathways including ladder rack, fiber trough, and strut systems Label cables, equipment, and power connections accurately Install and support network equipment and patching Maintain quality workmanship and ensure clean, organized work areas Follow all safety standards, codes, and best practices Communicate progress and collaborate with team members to resolve issues Required Skills & Qualifications Experience with low-voltage cabling (copper and fiber) Familiarity with telecom tools and cable testing equipment Ability to read and understand construction drawings and diagrams Basic knowledge of data center infrastructure and cabling systems Understanding of wiring standards, labeling, and installation practices Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to follow direction and work within a team environment Basic understanding of job site safety requirements Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Ability to pull cable and work with hands regularly Ability to climb ladders and work at heights #J-18808-Ljbffr KCI Telecommunications
