Experienced Stamping Maintenance Technician Wanted - 1st Shift in Warren!

Pay: $30 - 36/hour
Higher compensation may be available for candidates who bring exceptional experience and meet or exceed the requirements of the position.


Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday - Friday | 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Overtime may be required based on production demands, equipment breakdowns, and business needs.


A growing automotive manufacturer in the Warren area is looking for an experienced Metal Stamping Maintenance Technician to join its team. This is a specialized, hands-on maintenance position focused on keeping automatic metal stamping presses and related production equipment operating safely and efficiently.


The successful candidate will have substantial experience troubleshooting and repairing automatic metal stamping presses, along with related manufacturing equipment such as weld cells and compressors.


Please note: Direct experience with automatic metal stamping presses is required. Experience working primarily with extrusion equipment, injection molding, or general industrial machinery will not be considered a substitute for the required stamping press background.


This position will support maintenance operations at two nearby manufacturing facilities, so reliable transportation between locations is required.


What You’ll Be Responsible For
-Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain automatic metal stamping presses and production equipment.
-Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related equipment issues.
-Inspect machinery to identify the source of equipment failures and operating problems.
-Disassemble equipment as needed to access components requiring repair.
-Examine and measure parts for wear, misalignment, damage, or other issues.
-Replace worn or defective components within drive systems and hydraulic systems.
-Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical stamping presses.
-Adjust and realign components such as spindles, clutches, and other press mechanisms.
-Identify damaged air and hydraulic lines and complete necessary repairs or replacement.
-Measure, cut, thread, and install piping as required.
-Test machinery following repairs to verify proper operation.
-Fabricate or repair replacement components using equipment such as lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
-Assist with modifications and adjustments to computer-controlled automation and motion systems.
-Support maintenance needs across multiple production areas and facilities.

Required Experience & Skills
-Significant hands-on experience repairing and maintaining automatic metal stamping presses.
-Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair capabilities.
-Experience with metal stamping and forming, including progressive-die applications.
-Ability to diagnose equipment problems and determine appropriate repair solutions.
-Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
-Ability to read and interpret equipment components and determine proper alignment and adjustment.
-Comfortable using common machine shop equipment and tools.
-Ability to work independently while collaborating with production and maintenance teams.
-Reliable transportation and ability to travel between two local manufacturing facilities.
-Stamping Equipment Experience


Experience with automatic stamping press equipment such as:
-Minster
-AIDA
-Coil-fed stamping presses
-Progressive-die stamping equipment
-Automated material-handling systems
-Automated lubrication systems
-Important - This Is a Specialized Stamping Position


This position is not a general industrial maintenance role. Candidates must have meaningful hands-on experience working directly with automatic metal stamping presses.


Experience with extrusion, injection molding, CNC equipment, or other manufacturing machinery may provide transferable maintenance skills, but it does not replace the required automatic stamping press experience.
