Job Summary
Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Unknown. This position involves providing specialized care to patients emerging from anesthesia within a short-term acute care facility. The role requires flexibility to work with different units, including Post-Operative and Phase II recovery, with start times between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM. The PACU RN will support outpatient surgical procedures and inpatient care, ensuring patient safety and recovery.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid license in applicable state, ACLS, BLS, PALS certification, experience in Pre-Op, PACU, and Phase II care, IV skills, and at least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic or Cerner charting systems and community hospital experience.
• Responsibilities: Managing airway assessments, Circulation Checks, Post-Op and Phase II patient care, administration of blood products, medication reconciliation, IV management, and patient discharge instructions.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have experience with inbound hospital procedures such as GYN, ortho, biopsies, thyroidectomy, minor pediatric procedures, and urology. Candidates should also be prepared to float between units as needed; refusal to float may impact employment. The assignment involves working three of the five specified holidays and submitting all scheduling requests upfront.
