PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT

Partners In Rehab, PT is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to work within our outpatient facility network; with clinics in Georgetown, Methuen, Saugus, and Wilmington, MA. The PTA candidate will assist in the treatment and implementation of the rehabilitative plan, as well as perform components of physical therapy procedures and related tasks selected by the supervising Physical Therapist. Primary Responsibilities Performs routine strengthening, therapeutic exercises, and use of modalities under the supervision of the Physical Therapist. Assists in teaching exercise programs to patient and family. Assists patients with the use of clinic equipment and exercise machines. Maintains progress notes on patients to be submitted daily. Participates in therapy and other in-service programs. Participates in staff and clinical development activities, including orientation for new employees. Attends weekly staff meeting. Completes all documentation by the end of their shift. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned by Clinic Supervisor. Knowledge and Skill Requirements Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program. Strong interpersonal skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to communicate effectively. Good organizational and time management skills. Flexibility and self-motivation. Candidate Must Possess the Following Qualifications Associates of Science in Physical Therapy Assistance from an accredited program. Completion of the National Certification Examination for Registered Physical Therapist Assistant. Currently possess a Physical Therapy Assistant license within the state of MA. 2-3 years of outpatient Physical Therapy experience or equivalent. Ability to work varying hours throughout the work week. Flexibility to travel and willingness to work at any of our clinics. Must be independent and resourceful; demonstrate good clinical reasoning skills, and have the ability to multitask.
