The Joseph "Eddie" Ballard Western Kentucky Veterans Center is a 156-bed long term care facility located in beautiful Hanson, Kentucky that is committed to serving Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care. We are currently seeking self- motivated, energetic Licensed Practical Nurses who possess the skills, knowledge, and desire to care for Kentucky Veterans. Here you will be able to provide direct care for our residents by:

• Prepare, administer and document medications
• Perform medical treatments
• Check vital signs
• Follow policies to ensure our residents are care for
• Document all required information
• Assist each resident with their needs

This position, in Hopkins county has an approved Locality Premium of $6.97 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

Must be licensed in Kentucky as a practical nurse or must have a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Must maintain any required licensure (s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this job classification. Working Conditions Duties may involve close work with possibly hostile mental patients. May be exposed to infectious waste, diseases and conditions which requires the following of safety procedures. Probationary Period This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
