Job Description Machine Operator Downingtown, PA Compensation Includes Starting rate at $23.70/hour Pay differential added for 2nd shift and 3rd shift Available Shifts 2nd: 3:00pm - 11:00pm 3rd: 11:00pm - 7:00am Responsibilities Consistently operates zone of forming machines at or above standard levels considering waste, efficiency and utilization Troubleshoot causes of machine malfunctions Make appropriate adjustments or repairs to ensure that the quality of the cartons meeting specifications and that the machines operate properly Conducts quality checks at regular intervals and takes corrective action to fix defects identified Performs minor repairs during production Performs changeovers Performs weekly machine maintenance Communicates with the operator from the previous and following shifts and with supervisors to review any problems experienced on the machines throughout the department Performs purge procedures when changing to a new product and completes the required checklists Follows LOTO and alternative LOTO procedures Maintains a clean and orderly work area Qualifications 1+ year of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment Some mechanical experience prefrerred HS diploma or GED equivalent is required The ability to read and understand safety protocols and equipment manuals written in English is required Benefits With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
