Packaging Operator

Job Title: Packaging Operator Duration: 6 Months (Temp Position) Location: Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 Shift: Rotating Shifts: M-F 6am - 2:30pm and 2pm - 10:30pm Pay Rate: $ 25.00/hr. This position is a 6-month contract. The site is moving part of the manufacturing to another location at the end of the year. Forklift operation. Basic computer skills. English (reading and writing), basic math calculations. Other: Valid Driver's License Required Job Description This exam applies to all employees with the potential for chemical exposure during routine tasks perform. It includes most production and pilot plant operator positions as well a as maintenance, logistics and most R&D / Quality Laboratory positions. Expected Clearance Type is: No Restrictions, Whisper Test or equivalent / PIV clearance required for those operating motorized vehicle History & Physical Vision Near & Far CBC with Differential Blood Chemistry Panel Urinalysis with Micro whisper test or equivalent. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following : Follow procedures to safely package chemical products into totes, drums and pails Repack and relabel chemical products Utilize automated control systems along with manual operations to operate process and packaging equipment Identify, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues Perform light maintenance or prepare equipment for others to safely perform maintenance Complete batch related documentation and declare production in SAP Perform daily housekeeping tasks, rounds, and maintain an organized work environment Perform other tasks as assigned by management Ability to respond to emergency situations within the limits of training and qualifications Ability to work rotating shifts Ability to work overtime as needed Commitment to safe and environmentally responsible operation of all aspects of a chemical process In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience in a chemical production environment Effective oral and written communication skills Comfortable working with flammable and other hazardous chemicals Must be able to complete basic math calculations Must be able to operate hand tools, such as pliers, screwdrivers, and scrapers. Experience with forklift operation Ability to perform the essential physical functions of the position including climbing stairs, ladders, lift 55 pounds, connect hoses, operate manual valves, wear FRC uniforms and full-face respirator (clean-shaven) The following skill sets are preferred by the business unit: Excellent mechanical aptitude Positive "can do" attitude Ability to be safe, flexible innovative, honest and self-starting Proficient in MS Office Experience with SAP #J-18808-Ljbffr Niktor LLC
