Title
Registered Nurse - Medical-Surgical/Telemetry

Schedule
Shift: Nights; option of 36 or 48 hours/week
Every other weekend required (6 weekend shifts every 6 weeks)

Requirements
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Valid nursing license (OK or Compact)
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience in MS/Telemetry, telemetry monitoring, and post-procedure care
- IV access/maintenance skills, including peripheral IVs, PICC lines, and central line blood draws
- Ability to manage dysrhythmias and conduct ABG interpretations

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults and geriatrics in a medical-surgical and telemetry unit.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions.
- Administer medications and treatments, including post-procedure care for cardiac interventions and respiratory management.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient care.
- Assist with minor on-unit procedures and the management of various tubes (e.g., chest tubes, feeding tubes).
- Participate in rapid response and code situations as required.

Compliance / Notes
- Orientation: 20 hours required
- Pre-approved time off: two days per contract
- Travel experience is required; previous travel experience preferred.
