Glass & Metal Field Technician / Delivery - (Glazier & Driver) Brooklyn, NY, US Salary: 28.00 to 35.00 Hourly Glass & Metal Field Technician / Delivery Specialist CARVART Solutions is a leader in architectural glass and metal fabrication, installation, and specialty product delivery. We are seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Glass & Metal Field Technician / Delivery Specialist to support daily shop operations, field installations, and jobsite deliveries. This role combines hands‑on craftsmanship, safe material handling, and logistical coordination to ensure our clients receive high‑quality products and exceptional service. Key Responsibilities Operate Company Vehicles Maintain a valid driver’s license and safely operate an extended Sprinter van. Transport glass panels, architectural metals, and hardware to job sites across the region. Follow all DOT, company, and jobsite safety protocols. Load and unload trucks according to the daily and weekly delivery schedule. Secure materials properly to prevent damage during transport. Break down, dispose of, and recycle wooden crates, pallets, and packaging materials. Assist with installation of shower enclosures, glass wall panels, mirrors, and related architectural glass systems as needed. Assemble movable wall glass panel systems and ensure all components meet CARVART's quality standards. Perform ad hoc assembly, adjustments, and material modifications required for site‑specific installations. Fabrication & Shop Support Custom cut mirrors, laminated glass, and aluminum profiles using shop tools and equipment. Read, interpret, and work from shop drawings, installation diagrams, and technical specifications. Maintain an organized, clean, and broom‑swept shop environment. Support general shop operations and assist team members to meet production timelines. Safety & Quality Adhere to all company safety procedures and promote a safe working environment. Inspect materials for defects or damage before delivery or installation. Ensure all work meets CARVART’s quality, accuracy, and craftsmanship standards. Qualifications Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Experience driving large vans or commercial vehicles preferred. Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy materials (glass, metal, crates). Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation documents. Prior experience in glass, metal, construction, or fabrication environments is a plus. Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. This role involves a combination of shop work, field deliveries, and on‑site installations.
