Medical Assistant II

Delivers the highest quality service to patients while contributing to the smooth functioning of practice operations Provides support, training and shares knowledge with other Medical Assistants Identifies and resolves OSHA compliance issues Greets patients and serves as a communication resource Takes complete and accurate information from patients in person and by phone Obtains vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature, performs EKGs, injections and/or phlebotomy Implements quality control standards Requirements High School diploma or GED required Medical Assistant Certificate required 1-3 years related work experience required Experience with computer systems required, including web based applications and some Microsoft Office applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access. Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in patient care and medical assistance, including vital sign assessment, EKGs, and phlebotomy, while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Proficient in training and supporting fellow Medical Assistants and maintaining quality control in practice operations.
