Senior Construction Litigation Attorney

Senior Construction Litigation Attorney, White Plains office. The Position The Senior Construction Litigation Attorney will manage a caseload involving insurance defense, general liability, and construction-related litigation, including New York Labor Law matters. The ideal candidate will demonstrate both legal proficiency and strategic insight, while also being capable of independently managing cases through trial. Responsibilities Independently manage a caseload of construction litigation matters, including NY Labor Law claims, from inception through resolution or trial Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, depositions, and court appearances Collaborate with partners and team members on case strategy and complex legal issues Communicate regularly with clients, providing timely updates, legal analysis, and strategic recommendations Ensure compliance with court deadlines, procedural requirements, and firm standards Utilize legal research tools and case management systems effectively Qualifications JD from an ABA-accredited law school Active membership in good standing with the New York State Bar 7+ years of proven Labor Law construction experience Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability matters Demonstrated experience as first and/or second chair strongly desired Advanced understanding of NY Construction Law (Labor Law §§200, 240, 241), preferred Experience with OSHA proceedings and regulatory compliance is a plus Strong organizational and case management abilities Proficiency with legal research platforms and case management software Salary Salary Range: $185,000 - $225,000 USD Benefits Hybrid work arrangements to support work-life blend Outstanding benefits package, including 401(k) match and generous PTO plan Ample opportunities for professional development and advancement Access to corporate discount plans and other benefits Equal Opportunity Employment Wilson Elser welcomes submissions of candidates for our open positions exclusively from recruitment agencies with an active, signed fee agreement who have been granted access to a position through our dedicated Recruitment Agency Portal.
