Fire Equipment Service Worker

This is a continuous recruitment and may close at any time without notice. Examination: Written (Weight 100%): Will be conducted for the purpose of assessing the applicant's knowledge of simple mechanical parts of heavy motorized equipment, of proper lubricating procedures for a wide variety of equipment and fittings, and of heavy equipment tire repair; and other related topics. Applicants must attain at least a 70% score on each phase of the exam process.

Minimum Qualifications/Employment Standards: One year of experience in the servicing of light and heavy equipment. Valid California Class "A" Driver's License is required to successfully pass the six (6) months probationary period.

Knowledge of: simple mechanical parts of heavy motorized equipment, of proper lubricating procedures for a wide variety of equipment and fittings, and of heavy equipment tire repair. Ability to: drive heavy equipment; keep simple records and to understand and carry out written and verbal instructions.
