This Project Manager role focuses on leading customer-facing projects while driving business development and sales initiatives for professional products, services, and solutions. You will research and engage prospective clients, manage ongoing customer relationships, and coordinate closely with engineering and production teams to ensure projects move efficiently from concept to completion. The position combines project management, mechanical and manufacturing awareness, and consultative selling to deliver solutions that create meaningful value for customers.

Responsibilities

• Research, identify, and contact prospective clients to promote professional products, services, and solutions.
• Engage with potential customers to uncover business needs, build strong relationships, and identify opportunities to provide value.
• Deliver professional presentations at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the organization and its offerings.
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing clients while ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, handling calls and communications to ensure clear expectations and timely updates.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to move projects through design, development, and production stages efficiently and effectively.
• Coordinate project activities, timelines, and resources to ensure successful execution and on-time delivery.
• Apply project management and project coordination skills to oversee multiple projects simultaneously in a manufacturing or production context.
• Analyze market trends, customer needs, and sales data to refine business development strategies and improve results.
• Support additional sales and business development initiatives as assigned, including estimation and proposal development.
• Identify customer needs and recommend solutions that deliver meaningful value and support long-term partnerships.
• Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and emerging solutions relevant to customers and projects.
• Participate in professional development opportunities, industry associations, educational programs, and relevant publications to continuously enhance knowledge and skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in project engineering or working closely with engineering teams on technical projects.
• Experience in estimation, including supporting or developing cost estimates and proposals.
• Experience delivering presentations at industry events, conferences, or trade shows.
• Familiarity with market analysis, including reviewing sales data and customer feedback to refine strategies.
• Membership in or engagement with industry associations and professional networks.

Work Environment

You will work in a brand new, state-of-the-art office within a growing business that supports modern tools and collaborative workflows. The environment is closely connected to manufacturing and production activities, with frequent interaction between project management, engineering, and sales functions. The role involves regular customer interaction via calls and virtual or in-person meetings, as well as participation in industry events, conferences, and trade shows. The setting encourages continuous learning, professional development, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver high-quality solutions for customers.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
