The Camp Invention Director is the on‑site liaison between the program and the host school, providing a rewarding experience for those who appreciate enrichment and innovation. Position Details Type: Part‑time Location: Minnetonka Middle School West (MMW) Schedule: June 22–26, 2026; August 10–14, 2026 Day shift, Monday‑Friday (no weekends) Key Qualifications Strong organizational and time‑management skills Excellent interpersonal skills with children and adults Enthusiastic representation of the program Creative, flexible, and resourceful Self‑directed and natural problem solver Basic computer proficiency for administrative purposes Responsibilities Communicate frequently with the National Inventors Hall of Fame Regional Representative Attend director orientations via conference calls, webinars, or in person Review all communications from the Regional Representative Manage the student roster Recruit, train, and supervise Program Team Members (Instructors, Camp Parents, Leadership Interns, and Volunteers) Promote the program within the community Obtain district approval and distribute flyers to K‑6 students Promote through school websites, PTA/PTO newsletters, posters, and other channels Coordinate site logistics, including pre‑program paperwork, first day registration, participant group assignments, parent communications, arrival and departure, base camp and lunchtime supervision, program team meetings, class check‑ins, and maintaining order and discipline Salary and Perks Stipends ranging between $675 and $1,350 (pay increases with enrollment) Personal thank‑you letter from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and 3 CEUs—great resume boosters!
