About the Position

Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Oncology Chemo Certified Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day 5x8-Hour Hours per Shift: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Experience: 1 year preferred License: License in hand preferred Certifications: BLS, Chemo Certification (ONS/ONCC) Must-Have: - Adult oncology and hematology patient care experience - Familiarity with outpatient infusion services Description: The Oncology Infusion Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to adult oncology and hematology patients. This includes administering outpatient infusion services such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and hydration. The nurse will manage central line access and provide patient education on oncology-specific symptoms and treatment management. Nurses will utilize Epic/Beacon for charting and treatment plans. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. There are no weekend requirements for this position. No blood products or transfusions will be administered. The clinic will focus on solid tumor diagnoses, hematologic malignancies, and benign hematology conditions. Special skills required include care coordination, central line management, and infusion reaction management. This position does not involve on-call hours. Candidates are open to block scheduling options based on facility needs. All nurses will float within their scope as needed to ensure adequate patient care.
