LEMOINE is seeking a skilled Carpenter I to join our team in the commercial industry, specializing in concrete forming or drywall finishing. As an entry-level Carpenter, you will be responsible for assisting in various carpentry tasks, including framing, concrete forming and finishing work. You will report to the project foreman and be expected to work collaboratively with the team and take direction from supervisors. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently and safely on job sites. If you have experience in the commercial industry and are looking to grow your career as a Carpenter, we encourage you to apply.Responsibilities:Reading and interpreting blueprints and construction plansMeasuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materialsAssembling and fastening materials using nails, screws, staples, and adhesivesInstalling structures such as windows, frames, floorings, and trimConstructing forms and pouring concreteFinishing surfaces by sanding, staining, and paintingAssisting in the preparation and cleanup of job sitesOperating hand and power tools safelyQualifications: Must be able to push/pull, lift, or carry up to 55 lbs Subject to repetitive use of hands/arms, and legsHand/eye coordinationMust be able to communicate (hear, comprehend, and speak) to safely perform workWill need to be able to perform sedentary to heavy work May operate hand and power tools (electric, gas, and pneumatic) of all types Climb and maintain balance on steel/wood framework, stairs, ladders and scaffoldsRequired to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis Position may require prolonged bending/twisting, walking, crawling, kneeling, reaching overhead, squatting, pushing /pulling, or standing and liftingMust be able to walk on uneven surfaces, muddy conditions, loose rock, loose/soft sand, etc.May be required to work in confined spaces Will be exposed to adverse weather conditions (Heat, Cold, Rain, Etc.) Position RequirementsPhysical requirements: To perform the essential functions of the job, Carpenters should have manual dexterity and the ability to assemble things.
