Description: Traveler must be aware that upon accepting an assignment and starting the role, the unit manager may assign them to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the event passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed on each emergency event, as impacts vary. By signing the travel contract for this position, the traveler accepts this condition and will report as assigned by the immediate unit manager if an emergency event occurs. Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. Although Halloween is not a paid holiday, some units may require coverage. Holiday assignments will be based on departmental needs and fair staff rotation. CT certification is required. Specifics pertaining to scheduling will be discussed during the interview. Travelers should expect to float between emergency department, main campus, outpatient, and clinics within walking distance of the main campus. Epic experience is required. GE experience is required. Unit does not accept first-time travelers. If workday falls on a holiday, they will be required to work that holiday. The patient ratio experience is 1. Previous charge experience is preferred. Modules are billable and completed during orientation. All references must be from managers or supervisors and are required to obtain clearance. Resources who have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the organization for one full year before returning as travelers. Skills required include 3D rendering, various CT scan types, and patient safety adherence. Daily census is approximately 550. Parent age groups will range from neonates to geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support will be available. Additional unit requirements include ARRT CT certification and Louisiana state RT licensure for practice. The facility does not accept local travelers and requires candidates to be over 65 miles away.
