All Star Healthcare represents a facility in Missouri seeking OB Hospitalists locums coverage.

Hospital Information

• The hospital averages 670 annual births .
• In the event of an emergency or multiple simultaneous emergencies, OB physicians are covered by each other and the CNMs . The hospital does not require C-section assists , and FAs (First Assists) currently assist with C-sections.
• The hospital utilizes mid-level providers , specifically in Labor & Delivery (L&D) and CRNA services . The current call coverage model consists of CNMs and OBGYNs .
• The Women's Unit medical staff is composed of 4 OBs and 2 CNMs . Clinicians are employed by the hospital clinic corporation. Regarding physician plans, 2 OBs have resigned .
• The hospital has never experienced a circumstance in which no OB physician was available . The hospital uses EPIC as its electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• A urologist is available , and a general surgeon is available 24/7 . Anesthesia coverage is provided on-call during nights and weekends .
• The hospital has a Level II NICU and access to Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) resources
• The hospital has a robotic surgery program.

  • Average daily clinic volume is 120. Maximum of 25-30 patients per day in the clinic.
• How many providers see patients in the clinic daily?
  • Four to five providers see patients daily. There are 2 APPs in the clinic each day.
• Where is the clinic's location in relation to the hospital?
  • Approximately 10 minutes away.
• What are the current clinic scheduled hours of operation?
  • Monday through Thursday; Friday is a half-day.
• What is the after-hours call process for patients?
  • Call the hospital.
• Do you perform any procedures in the clinic?
  • Nexplanon.
• Does the clinic perform ultrasounds? If so, who reads the ultrasounds?
  • Yes. Providers read the ultrasounds if they are performed in the clinic.
• Do you offer any walk-in or same-day time slots?
  • No.
