If you’re ready to grow and make an impact, we’d love to be on your team.As an Application Engineer with AWC you will be individually supporting our sales team by working with customers to understand their applications and discuss how technology can be implemented for improvement. The successful candidate must be innovative, passionate, and resourceful while demonstrating technical skills.How you’ll make an impact:Communicate how to implement technical solutions with some of our key accountsWork with our inside and outside sales team to implement word-class technology solutionsTeach concepts from the basics of electricity and motor control to complex SCADA database management and networkingProvide technical support for the following products/technologies: PLC, I/O, HMI, SCADA, Drives, Synchronized Motion Control, Networking, WiFi, Radios, Motor Controls, Control Panel Design, and Power DistributionTroubleshoot existing facilities and networks to get customers back up and runningDevelop Bills-Of-Material based on customer requirementsDemonstrate hardware and software proficiencyDocument best practices and share with colleaguesMotivated self-starter with the unique ability to manage a complex scheduleSkills you’ll need:2- or 4-Year Technical Degree (Engineering preferred)2 years of hands-on technical experienceStrong technical aptitudeProficient in the use of Microsoft Office SuiteSelf Confidence and the ability to manage conflictAbility to manage a team to meet multiple deadlines and approvals with strict attention to detailPositive attitude/strong team playerHere’s what will set you apart:Bachelor’s degree (preferred in an Engineering)Base level knowledge of Electrical and Automation products, including but not limited to PLC’s, IO’s, Safety Devices, Enclosures, Motor Starters, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatics, Sensors, Panelboards, etc.Basic understanding of electricity, panel design/wiring, manufacturing/OEM experienceThe Rewards:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(K) MatchCompetitive PayMedical, Dental and Vision Insurance PackageEmployer Paid Life InsurancePaid Time Off and Holiday PayCareer Development OpportunitiesAbout AWCAs employee co-owners, we’re driven to do more than complete tasks; we build fulfilling careers by challenging assumptions and continually raising the bar.
