Help Desk Technician

Salary: $49,920 - 54,080 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for candidates who meet either of these pathways: an Associates or Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or another related technical field, or 1 to 2 years of hands-on IT support experience if no degree is held.
• Working knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
• Ability to resolve common computer and application issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills and patience when supporting non-technical users.
• Ability to document work clearly and accurately.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and follow guidance from senior IT staff.
• Preferred experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD, Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, help desk systems, and business-user support.
• Preferred understanding of IP addressing, DNS, DHCP, Wi‑Fi, and VPNs.
• Preferred CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.

• Provide Level 1 technical support to employees in person, by phone, by email, and through our IT ticketing system.
• Troubleshoot Windows desktop and laptop issues.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 and Entra ID user administration.
• Help with password resets, MFA enrollment, account lockouts, and user access concerns.
• Set up and configure laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, docking stations, and other peripherals.
• Support new employee onboarding and offboarding.
• Install approved software and resolve common application issues.
• Troubleshoot basic network connectivity, Wi‑Fi, VPN, printer, and peripheral problems.
• Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions.
• Keep IT asset and equipment records up to date.
• Escalate issues to senior IT staff or vendors when needed.
• Follow established IT security policies and procedures.
• Assist our IT department with projects and other technical tasks as needed.
