Fabrication Lead – King George, VA

General Labor Services (GLS Staffing) is seeking an experienced Fabrication Lead for our client in King George, VA .

Pay Rate: $33.00/hr
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

The Fabrication Lead oversees the daily operations of the fabrication team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for supervising employees, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining production schedules, and promoting a safe and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the fabrication team to meet production goals
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Assign daily work and monitor productivity and quality
• Ensure fabrication meets company quality standards
• Train, mentor, and support team members
• Inspect equipment and coordinate basic maintenance needs
• Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company safety policies
• Collaborate with production and management teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fabrication or manufacturing experience required
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience using fabrication tools and equipment
• Commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures
• Willingness to work in a hands-on production setting
