Special Procedures Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Special Procedures Technologist to join our Radiology department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for performing a range of vascular-interventional procedures with a strong focus on patient safety and care.

Position Information

Role: Special Procedures Technologist
Specialty: Vascular-Interventional Radiology
Number of Openings: 1
Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
Call Requirements: N/A
Float Requirements: No

Required Certifications and Qualifications

Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered Technologist (RT) with Vascular-Interventional (VI) certification
Preferably 1+ years of experience in a comparable role
Knowledge of Vascular Operating Room procedures, equipment, and radiation safety is essential

Unit Information

Equipment Used: Philips Allura X-ray Systems (2 rooms)
EHR System: EPIC

Patient Population

Focus on adult patients requiring vascular-interventional procedures.

Hiring Profile

Must Have Skills: Comprehensive understanding of vascular OR procedures, equipment, and radiation protocols.
Personality Fit: Positive attitude with a collaborative approach to teamwork in an Operating Room environment.
Educational Requirement: Vascular Interventional Boards (VI)

Dress Code

Provided OR scrubs must be worn during shifts.
Street clothing is acceptable outside the OR, but staff must change into proper attire upon entry.
