The GoToMeeting app will be used as the video/audio app for the Test Proctor to monitor and communicate with candidates during the exam. Desktop or Laptop PC running Windows 10 or later OR a MacOS 10.13 or later. ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for employment as a Police Officer with the Little Rock Police Department, applicants must meet the criteria established by the State of Arkansas Commission on Law Enforcement, the State of Arkansas Civil Service Statutes, and the Little Rock Civil Service Rules and Regulations (list is not all inclusive). Human Resources will submit all candidates to LRPD personnel for a preliminary background check. If any of the following are found during the preliminary background, the candidate will be automatically disqualified:
- Invalid driver's license
- Prior felony conviction - NOTE: Expunged and/or pardoned felonies still disqualify candidates from employment as a Police Officer.
- Prior domestic abuse conviction
- Excessive traffic points accrued within the past three years.
Applicants who have successfully completed the on-line application, supplemental questions, and the preliminary background check will receive additional information about scheduling for the written/online exam and physical endurance and ability testing. Test dates will be available on a first come first served basis. Testing dates will be provided upon testing eligibility verification. The Department reserves the right to add additional dates or amend these dates based on departmental need.
