Job Summary The QA Engineer II plays a critical role in upholding product quality by independently identifying and addressing potential issues introduced by system enhancements. This position demands active engagement with project teams across the full project lifecycle to embed quality assurance practices from conception to launch. Key responsibilities include comprehensive testing, diligent progress tracking, and clear defect reporting to all relevant project stakeholders. This role may also involve direct interaction with external client partners for client onboarding and the enhancement of existing client capabilities. Additionally, the QA Engineer II may contribute to configuration updates, facilitate business integration, and provide guidance to less experienced QA engineers. Essential Job Functions Utilizes analytical skills, test plans and test scripts based on the business and functional requirements for the project and the review of these documents with systems analysts, developers, and/or vendors. Responsible for the creation of a first events validation plan which includes production validation, backout mitigation plan, and post-install support - (20%) Demonstrates an aptitude for detail and accuracy and technical knowledge, executes test scripts and reports defects using JIRA. Utilizes knowledge of database structure, creates and executes SQL queries to identify test accounts and verify application behavior is working as expected - (20%) Utilizes problem solving and communication skills to work with development teams and/or vendors to resolve and retest identified defects. Report on testing progress to testing lead or project manager - (20%) Executes first events validation and provides knowledge transfer documentation to the production support team. Updates project reporting documentation and attends team meetings. Utilizes defect management and organization skills, provide progress and metrics on test execution and defects to project team - (15%) Demonstrates foundational knowledge of credit card operations, banking, financial, loyalty rewards, and credit card regulatory while working with various areas of the business. Salary Range (unless otherwise noted below): $87,900.00 - $159,200.00 Full Salary Range for position: California: $101,000.00 - $198,900.00 Colorado: $87,900.00 - $167,100.00 New York: $96,600.00 - $198,900.00 Washington: $92,200.00 - $183,000.00 Maryland: $92,200.00 - $175,100.00 Washington DC: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00 Illinois: $87,900.00 - $175,100.00 New Jersey: $101,000.00 - $183,000.00 Vermont: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00 Ohio: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00 Maine: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00 Connecticut: $96,600.00 - $175,100.00 Virginia: $87,900.00 - $159,200.00 The actual base pay within this range may be dependent upon many factors, which may include, but are not limited to, work location, education, experience, and skills. You must be work authorized in the United States on a full time basis without the need for any sponsorship now or in the future from any employer or organization. The Company cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders. Associates (except those located in Illinois) receive 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time (“PSST”) upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois associates receive 40 hours of Illinois PSST upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year and 40 hours of Illinois Paid Leave upon hire and at the beginning of each subsequent calendar year. Illinois Paid Leave must be used before associates in Illinois will be approved to take FTO.
