Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - CVORT

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of CVOR experience for a hospital OR Heart Team position in Aurora, CO.

Job Details

• Hospital-based OR Heart Team unit supporting a cardiovascular surgical program across 3 campuses,
• CV staff team of 15, with day shift structured as teams of 3 (2 RNs and 1 CST) and night shift as teams of 2 (1 RN and 1 CST),
• 1:1 patient ratio,
• Procedures include CABG, AAA, TAVR, and valve replacements,
• Equipment includes GE and Stryker platforms,
• EMR is Meditech/CPN; prior Meditech experience is preferred,
• Day shift schedule; no weekend requirements,
• Call requirements vary based on need and staffing, and will be discussed at interview,
• Floating within 25 miles of the facility may be required,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of current, acute care CVOR Surgical Tech experience in a hospital setting,
• Open heart experience required,
• BLS, DORA, and NBSTSA certifications required and must be in hand prior to start,
• Active NBSTSA CST credential required; Colorado state license required (license required if applicable),
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months,
• SSN (US only) and DOB required for consideration,
• One professional reference required,
• Allied candidates must have 6 months of experience within the last 6 months in the applicable role,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered,
• Prior experience traveling as a CVOR Tech in large trauma facilities is preferred,
• Cardiovascular experience beyond open heart (e.g., TAVR, valve) is a plus,
• Ideal candidates are flexible, confident, and team-oriented with a strong focus on patient experience and communication,
• Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start date
