Traveler Experience: Unit WILL NOT ACCEPT 1st Time Travelers Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes Skills: Vents, IV Start, Neuro Intensive Care Unit, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Continuous IV sedation, CVA/Acute Stroke management, External ventricular drains (EVD), ICP Monitoring, Post Neurosurgery management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Isolation Precautions/ Use of PPE, Lumbar Drain experience Strong Neuro experience, MUST BE 2 YEARS, NO LESS STROKE Patients is one of their largest patient populations Certs: ACLS, BCLS, NIH

Job Details: Ratios: Ratios 2:1 (can flex up to 3:1 in high census and nurse must be comfortable with this if needed). Average Daily Census 11-12 Shift: *36 Hours Can Be Offered Unit Will Accept 13 Weeks! 12 Hour Nights; 18:45 - 07:15 RTO: 7 Days MAX for AYA AUTO OFFER Call Requirement: NONE Float Requirement: YES Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND Patient Diagnoses: We are a comprehensive stroke center. Patient population: strokes (ischemic, hemorrhagic [SAH]), SDH, craniotomies, carotid stents, carotid endarterectomies, aneurysm coiling/clipping, seizures, Depth electrodes, myasthenia gravis. Drains used: EVDs, LDs, hemovacs, Camino (ICP monitoring)

Special Procedures / Unit Details: Comprehensive Stroke Center Special Equipment: EVD, Lumbar Drains, Camino, LICOX, NICOM and Arctic Sun. Unit Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR Scheduling Type: Per the Unit Needs Unit Orientation: 24.0 Hours; 2 days or 2 nights Scrubs: Navy blue & White
