Job Opportunity

Position: Oncology Registered Nurse (RN)

We are currently seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) for an outpatient clinic position. The ideal candidate will have prior oncology and infusion experience, as this role includes performing daily infusions and port draws.

Details

• Shift: Day, 5x8-Hour (08:00 - 17:00)
• Start Date: ASAP
• Contract Duration: 40 hours guaranteed per week
• Location: City, State

Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and related medications
• Perform port draws and manage central line/implanted line care
• Monitor patient conditions during treatment
• Provide education and support to patients and families

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of oncology nursing experience required
• Oncology Certification (ONCC or ONS) is mandatory
• Experience with Alaris Infusion Pumps and CADD Ambulatory Pumps preferred
• Epic charting system experience is a plus
• Current BLS certification required

Additional Information

• Daily responsibilities include performing 6 infusions plus 1-2 port draws
• No weekend shifts required
• Travelers are welcomed, and support is provided for first-time travelers
• Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
• RTO (Request Time Off) must be clearly stated at the time of submission

Skills Required

• Administration and monitoring of chemotherapy
• Management of acute complications such as Anaphylaxis and Sepsis
• Knowledge of neutral precautions and patient assessment
