Qualifications for RNs

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will employ the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to deliver personalized care to patients. This role involves collaboration with a range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, to plan, execute, and assess patient care. The RN will demonstrate proficiency and operate within the full spectrum of nursing knowledge, adhering to age and population-specific standards relevant to their clinical environment. Responsibilities include caring for patients throughout all stages of preventive care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up as they navigate the continuum of care. Duties encompass care planning and coordination, patient assessment, education, triage, and various nursing interventions. The RN will function in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules of the state of practice and licensure. Our professional nursing practice acknowledges the Scope and Standards of Practice and the Code of Ethics for Nurses as established by the American Nurses Association, serving as the foundation for nursing care delivery and professional behavior.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program is required, including institutions recognized by the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). A Bachelor’s Degree in nursing is preferred.
  • Must possess an unencumbered RN license from the State Board of Nursing in the state where you will practice, or hold multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Required department-specific competencies and certifications must be obtained and maintained.
