Asset Management Senior Engineer

Job Overview Asset Management Senior Engineer – responsible for improving how physical assets are managed and operated across manufacturing sites. Supports deployment of asset management standards in work management, operational reliability, reliability by design, calibration management, and engineering store management. This role drives measurable improvements in asset availability, cost management and ensures Quality, EHS, and GMP compliance. Responsibilities Master reliability excellence management applying FMECA, RCM, RAMS, preventive maintenance effectiveness review, optimization, root cause analysis, bad actor management and criticality management. Apply knowledge of EHS tools such as Hazid, Hazop and LOA. Use EAM data (SAP ECC, S/4HANA, etc.) to identify and implement reliability improvements. Optimize reliability strategies to reduce failure rate and operational losses. Oversee GMP and EHS compliance across sites and drive implementation of corrective actions. Work hands‑on with site teams to convert reliability analysis into sustained action plans. Leverage digital solutions (e.g., Python) for diagnostics and decision‑making. Use cross‑site scorecards to benchmark performance and support continuous improvement. Animate the Reliability Engineering Community of Practice, ensuring consistent development of site engineers. Master end‑to‑end work management processes: gatekeeping, planning, scheduling, preparation, execution, and work order closure. Ensure consistent and quality CMMS data to enable effective planning and execution. Assist sites in improving daily maintenance execution, reducing emergency work and backlog. Promote disciplined use of paperless tools in compliance with data integrity requirements. Drive measurable improvements in asset availability, productivity, and cost efficiency through better work management practices. Animate the Work Management Community of Practice, ensuring competent development of site engineers. Master calibration management from regulatory requirements to execution and audit readiness. Structure and maintain calibration data in SAP/EAM and coordinate with CMMS groups for consistency. Identify optimization opportunities for calibration strategy based on risk, performance, and regulatory expectations. Collaborate with Quality, Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure compliant and efficient calibration execution. Use digital tools and AI to accelerate decision making and data analysis across manufacturing groups. Master engineering stores and spare parts management processes including critical spares, stock strategies and obsolescence management. Align CMMS equipment structures, BOMs, spare parts and maintenance plans. Optimize inventory levels, cash exposure, and risk while increasing parts availability. Link reliability analysis with spare parts strategies to reduce MTTR and prevent failures. Use CMMS data and digital tools (AI, Python, etc.) to provide insights driving actions. Animate the Engineering Stores Community of Practice to drive continuous improvement and benchmark performance across sites. Act as single point of contact for site Engineering teams and operational leads within specialties. Build and sustain relationships with sites, service providers and stakeholders aligned with operational objectives. Translate business processes into functional requirements and work with the operational engineering system director. Ensure reporting tools support business needs and regularly assess tool features against enterprise needs. Ability to manipulate databases and use SQL queries for data extraction; Python use is a plus. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or Chemical Engineering. Orange Belt certification. 5+ years’ experience in a highly regulated Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment. Experience leading facility equipment programs and leading maintenance teams. Experience with machines, production lines and regulated environments such as pharma, healthcare, food, cosmetics or aeronautics. Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Automation or Chemical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Green Belt certification. Leadership experience in coaching and collaborative working. Familiarity with manufacturing regulatory requirements. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to influence at all levels. Proven ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups, including Senior Management. Master of Engineering (Global Maintenance & Reliability preferred or demonstrated experience). Networking, influencing, analytical thinking and strong communication abilities.
