School Nurse Up to $45/hour | Orangeburg, SC | Full-Time Hours | 2026-2027 School Year | Come Join our Team as a School-Based Registered Nurse! About the Role Hello, Nurses! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time School Nurse in Orangeburg, SC. In this role, you'll play a critical part in providing individualized nursing care to a student with complex medical needs in a special education classroom. You will ensure the student's health, safety, and access to education by implementing individualized healthcare plans, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring the student's medical status, responding to medical emergencies, and maintaining accurate health documentation. Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, administrators, and families, you will support the student's participation in classroom activities while fostering independence, well-being, and a safe learning environment.

• Caseload in Orangeburg, SC
• Full Time - Starting Immediately!
• 1.0 FTE, M-F

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to students in a school-based setting
• Assess and respond to student illnesses, injuries, and health concerns during the school day
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies
• Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with medical needs
• Provide first aid and emergency nursing care as needed
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records and documentation
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, school staff, and healthcare providers to support student needs
• Promote a safe and healthy school environment while supporting students' ability to participate in the educational setting

What We're Looking For

• Valid State of South Carolina licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Pediatric or school-based nursing experience preferred, not required
