Registered Nurse - Telemetry/PCU Position

This is a 26-week contract position.

Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts (06:45 - 19:15).

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the MS/Tele 2 East Clinical Decision Unit is responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced telemetry and progressive care unit. The RN will monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. This position requires experience with vasoactive drips and a strong background in telemetry and acute care.

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and manage treatments as prescribed.
• Provide continuous patient education and support to improve health outcomes.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Assist with the management of dysrhythmias and other critical conditions.
• Participate in rapid response and code teams as required.
• Document all patient interactions and care in the electronic health record (EPIC).

• 18 months of telemetry/acute care experience required; 2 years preferred.
• PCU experience is required.
• Must have experience with vasoactive drips.
• Certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS (must be current at time of submission), NIHSS (must obtain prior to start).
• Smoke-free facility: all travelers must be nicotine-free.
