Baker and Packager Associate

Position Summary Do you have a knack for helping people, following recipes and organization? Our Bakery/Packager associates prepare fresh baked items daily for our members through recipes and wrapping, labeling, and storing merchandise to ensure our members have the freshest items available to take home to their families. There are times when you will juggle several tasks in a short amount of time while helping members with their bakery orders. It’s hard work, but our bakery team finds it rewarding, especially since they’re a part of a large team with a common goal: happy, satisfied members. Be an Expert: Prepare bakery department merchandise based on daily production needs, operate baking equipment, follow recipes and makeup instructions, wrap, label, and store merchandise according to company policies; maintain food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold chain compliance, and inventory management. Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement, using handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, merchandise ordering, training, and product quality. Be an Owner: Ensure commitment to operational excellence, maintain the work area per company policies, uphold quality and date control standards for bakery items, secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise, eliminate waste, assist members with purchasing decisions, and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored. Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area, modeling high-quality service and products, executing the basics at the highest level of quality, and exhibiting energy, commitment, and passion for the work. Minimum Qualifications Must be 18 years of age or older Location 12349 N IH 35, SAN ANTONIO, TX 78233-3201, United States of America Compensation Hourly wage range: $16.00 to $23.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation may be paid in the form of premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
