The role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, and technical teams to build scalable solutions that improve product design workflows, manufacturing planning, and shop floor operations. The Catia Delmia Developer will be responsible for creating custom automation tools, enhancing existing applications, utilizing CATIA APIs, and integrating engineering systems to improve productivity and operational efficiency. The position also includes testing, troubleshooting, code reviews, and technical documentation to ensure high-quality software delivery. CATIA & DELMIA Customization and Development Develop and customize CATIA V5 and DELMIA applications using VBA, CATScript, VB.NET, and Python. Create automation tools that improve engineering and manufacturing workflows. Design and implement reusable software components and automation scripts. Enhance existing applications by adding new features and improving functionality. Optimize application performance and maintainability. API Development and Integration Utilize CATIA APIs to interact with Product Structure, Models, Drawings, and Annotation objects. Develop custom integrations between CATIA/DELMIA and enterprise systems. Create automation solutions that support product lifecycle management activities. Build data exchange processes and system interoperability solutions. Troubleshoot API-related issues and integration challenges. Manufacturing Process Automation Develop applications that streamline manufacturing process planning. Support shop floor operations through customized DELMIA solutions. Automate engineering and production workflows to improve efficiency. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to identify process improvement opportunities. Implement software solutions that enhance operational productivity. Application Enhancement and Maintenance Maintain and improve existing CATIA and DELMIA codebases. Analyze software defects and provide effective resolutions. Refactor code to improve scalability, reliability, and performance. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to software development best practices. Testing and Quality Assurance Conduct unit testing and integration testing of custom applications. Perform debugging and issue resolution activities. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts. Validate application functionality against business requirements. Ensure software quality standards are consistently met. Documentation and Collaboration Create and maintain technical documentation for custom applications. Document system architecture, workflows, and development processes. Participate in peer code reviews and knowledge-sharing activities. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and business stakeholders. Provide technical support and guidance to end users when required. Required Skills & Experience 5-8+ years of professional software development and engineering application experience. Hands‑on experience with CATIA V5 Automation. Hands‑on experience with DELMIA Automation. Strong experience using VBA for automation and customization. Experience developing CATScript-based solutions. Proficiency in C++ application development. Strong programming skills using C# and .NET technologies. Experience with VB.NET and/or Python scripting. Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving abilities. Experience developing clean, maintainable, and scalable code. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Preferred Skills Experience with Git source control management. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of engineering and manufacturing software environments. Experience supporting product development and manufacturing operations. Understanding of enterprise application integration concepts. Experience working in aerospace, manufacturing, or engineering-focused environments. Pre‑Screening Requirement Candidates must have hands‑on CATIA/DELMIA Automation experience.
