Your responsibilities will include evaluating and treating both new and returning patients with neurological issues. Key tasks involve conducting neurological assessments, consultations, and follow-up care for both inpatient and outpatient settings. Additionally, you will engage in multidisciplinary team meetings, quality improvement projects, and educational initiatives.

• Provide thorough neurological services focusing on health maintenance, disease prevention, patient education, and management of neurological disorders.

• Encourage shared decision-making with veterans and their families to achieve the best health outcomes.

• Conduct neurological evaluations and create personalized treatment plans for patients with diverse neurological conditions.

• Oversee preoperative and postoperative care for neurology patients.

• Manage outpatient neurology clinics and provide inpatient consultations as required.

• Engage in ongoing quality improvement initiatives to enhance care delivery.

• Employ various quality measurement tools to assess and enhance clinical performance and patient outcomes.

• Act as a mentor and role model for fellow healthcare providers within the neurology team.

• Participate in educational activities, offering guidance and support to residents, students, and other trainees.

• Facilitate care coordination for veterans, integrating specialty care, mental health services, and other ancillary services to ensure comprehensive healthcare delivery.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to formulate individualized treatment plans for veterans.

• Leverage the electronic medical record system for documentation, test ordering, and communication with patients and team members.
