Your Impact as a Payroll Clerk In this role, you will: Maintain Payroll Records: Collect, calculate, and enter payroll data accurately and on schedule. Update Employee Info: Enter changes related to exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, job titles, and department transfers. Generate Reports: Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages. Calculate Liabilities: Determine payroll liabilities, including employee federal and state income tax, Social Security, unemployment, and workers' compensation. Resolve Issues: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies quickly and professionally. Support Employees: Provide accurate payroll information and respond to questions and requests. Ensure Compliance: Follow company payroll procedures and report any necessary updates or policy changes. Maintain Confidentiality: Protect sensitive payroll information and uphold privacy standards. Assist with Requests: Process employment verification and garnishment documentation as needed. Collaborate with Team: Contribute to the department’s success by supporting broader payroll goals.
