Clinical Laboratory Scientist I - Weekend PM

Abbott seeks a Clinical Laboratory Scientist I to perform moderate to highly complex laboratory testing on clinical specimens. The role involves test processing, quality control documentation, equipment maintenance, and troubleshooting within a clinical laboratory setting. Weekend evening shift (Saturday–Monday, 6 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) based in Madison, Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Perform moderate and highly complex laboratory tests and analyses following standard operating procedures
• Perform, review, and document quality control procedures and maintain equipment functionality
• Identify and troubleshoot problems affecting test performance and laboratory operations
• Prepare reagents, manage supply inventory, and participate in validation of new equipment and procedures
• Mentor new personnel, communicate with internal teams and customers, and maintain quality standards

Requirements

• Associate degree in laboratory science, biological science, or medical laboratory technology from accredited institution
• Professional knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations
• Authorization to work in United States without sponsorship
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation
• Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, or clinical laboratory science preferred
• Experience with molecular biology techniques and principles preferred

Compensation: $20.50–$41.00/hour
