MATERIAL HANDLER I 2nd Shift Location: Sunnyvale, Texas, United States, 75182 Dal-Tile is currently seeking an eager and motivated entry-level material handler to join our team. The role requires experience with basic day-to-day warehouse functions and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Pay Rate: Entry Rate: $18.54; 3 Month Increase: $19.66 Shift: 2nd shift, Monday–Friday, 4:30 PM–1:00 AM Primary Objectives: Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey orders to packing station or shipping area. Major Function and Scope: Perform a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling vendor products, maintaining displays (tools, caulk, etc.), moving, storing, and replenishing material, and conducting daily cycle counts. Perform receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims. Operate forklift and order picker equipment. Maintain a clean and organized facility by sweeping, trash removal, restroom, and general office maintenance. Maintain a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions, and acts to Management. Perform other related duties as required. Experience and Knowledge Required: High School diploma or equivalent experience. 1-year Sit-Down Forklift Operator experience required. 1-year previous warehouse experience preferred. Good oral and written communication skills. Accurate measurement capability. Ability to understand and speak basic English. Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner. Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks. Other Pertinent Job Information: Regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. May be required to sit, climb, or balance. May lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The average number of picks per hour is 25, with an average weight between 40-70 lbs; heavier picks (50-70 lbs) are 65% of the shift, lighter items (20-40 lbs) is 35% of the shift. Specific vision abilities include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. Remotely exposed to moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
