Cantonese-Speaking Caregiver / CNA / HHA – Senior Care
On-Site | Center/Clinic-Based Care
Pay: $21.00 – $23.33/hour
Cantonese Speaking REQUIRED
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Cantonese-speaking Caregiver / CNA / HHA to provide hands-on personal care and daily living assistance to elderly and frail patients.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with seniors and is committed to helping patients maintain their dignity, comfort, safety, and independence.
What You'll Do
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and peri-care
- Provide meal preparation and feeding assistance
- Assist with housekeeping and laundry
- Escort and assist patients according to individualized care plans
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the care team
- Communicate with Cantonese-speaking patients to support their daily care needs
- Encourage conversation, socialization, and participation in activities
- Follow proper body mechanics, universal precautions, and safety procedures
- Complete basic care documentation, checklists, and forms
- Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, providers, and other members of the care team
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for patients
Requirements
- Must speak Cantonese
- Minimum 1 year of experience caring for elderly or frail individuals
- Hands-on experience assisting with personal care and ADLs
- CNA or HHA certification and BLS/CPR preferred
- Compassionate, dependable, and patient-focused
- Comfortable providing bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, and feeding assistance
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a care team
- Basic conversational English
- Ability to complete basic written documentation in English
- Ability to communicate or interpret basic information between Cantonese-speaking patients and the care team when needed
- Must be at least 18 years old when working in a licensed adult day program
Nice to Have
- CNA or HHA certification
- Current BLS/CPR
- Experience in adult day health, PACE, home care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or senior care
- Experience working in both home-based and center-based care
- Experience mentoring or training other caregivers
Compensation: $24-$26 an hr
