Job Summary
CT Technologist, CT — Salem, VA. The position supports a computed tomography department by performing routine and angiographic scans, initiating intravenous access, administering contrast, and completing required quality assurance activities. The role requires independent work, technical proficiency, and collaboration within a patient-focused imaging environment.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: ARRT-CT certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience with General Electric equipment; ability to work independently.
- Preferred Qualifications: Five or more years of computed tomography experience; hard-working and team-oriented.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include performing routine and angiographic scans according to physician orders and department guidelines, starting intravenous access, administering contrast injections, and completing weekly quality assurance phantom scans on 64-slice computed tomography scanners. Weekend night coverage and call rotation every sixth week are required. Dark gray, charcoal, or pewter scrubs are required.
