Physical Therapist – Outpatient

Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital is seeking a Physical Therapist to provide high-quality rehabilitation services in an outpatient hospital setting, supporting adult patients across a variety of diagnoses. This role focuses on restoring function, improving mobility, and promoting safe and efficient recovery, with limited inpatient weekend coverage as part of a collaborative care model.

Position Overview

Physical Therapists at Vanderbilt Clarksville Hospital work with adult patients across multiple conditions, emphasizing early mobility, strength, balance, gait training, and functional independence. The role includes collaboration with an interdisciplinary care team to support patient-centered care and safe, timely discharge planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients according to physician orders and established plans of care
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based practice
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge recommendations in accordance with hospital standards
• Support safe transitions of care and discharge planning

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Current Tennessee Physical Therapist license or eligibility
• Prior outpatient experience preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
