Revenue Cycle Specialist

Act as an on-site resource for patients, guarantors, families, providers and staff to help them better understand insurance coverage, eligibility and benefits. Candidates must sit in Minnesota. Responsibilities and Accountabilities: Perform insurance checks for upcoming Program appointments/services to determine eligibility and benefits coverage Work directly with patients/guarantors on gathering insurance information by telephone and/or face to face when prior information gathered is not correct or is missing Provide cost of care estimates and discuss financial arrangements when needed, and collect the appropriate amount of the patient's deductible and/or max out-of-pocket expenses Inform customers of the Financial Assistance Program if the patient is self-pay or if concerns are expressed Respond to inquiries regarding insurance and/or billing concerns, following up with the appropriate resource as needed Communicate with UR and Patient Account staff regarding billing inquiries Review/complete tickets within the billing workbench as assigned Advocate for coverage when necessary Previous Experience: At least three years of patient accounts experience working with insurance companies regarding benefit and claim resolution Specific Skills: Basic math and keyboarding skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word. Excel and Outlook Knowledge of health insurance eligibility, benefits, and claims processing Knowledge of Revenue Codes, CPT/HCPCS codes, and diagnosis codes Excellent customer service and communication skillsli> Ability to maintain confidential information Ability to maintain a courteous and respectful manner in difficult or highly charged emotional interactions #J-18808-Ljbffr
