Regional Medical Scientific Director, Cardiopulmonary & Pulmonary Hypertension -- Mid-Atlantic Territory

Merck

Merck seeks a credentialed medical scientific director with pulmonary hypertension expertise to build peer relationships with external scientists and clinicians in the Mid-Atlantic region. The role combines scientific exchange, research support coordination, and strategy input to advance the company's cardiovascular and pulmonary programs.

Responsibilities

Identify and establish collaborative relationships with regional scientific leaders and clinical investigators
Conduct peer-level scientific discussions and maintain regular engagement with external stakeholders
Represent Research & Development Division at scientific meetings and congresses
Support data generation activities and serve as liaison for investigator-sponsored studies
Communicate external insights and clinical trends to internal Medical Affairs teams

Requirements

MD, PhD, PharmD, or APP credential
Three years biotech, pharmaceutical, or healthcare experience
Three years clinical and/or research experience in cardiovascular and pulmonary therapeutic areas
Demonstrated scientific excellence in assigned therapeutic area
In-depth disease and therapeutic area knowledge
Residence in Virginia, Maryland, or Washington D.C.
