Part-Time School Bus Driver

Rate of Pay: $22.60 per hour Hours: Part-Time, less than 30 hours per week

Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. Must be able to pass a pre-employment DOT physical examination and drug screening. Must possess or be able to obtain a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsements. Must maintain an excellent driving record. Must meet all state and federal requirements for school bus drivers. Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Previous experience operating a school bus or commercial vehicle preferred, but not required. Knowledge of and ability to follow all state and federal safety regulations. Ability to perform and document routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks. Ability to maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus by enforcing student conduct expectations and responding appropriately to emergencies. Ability to remain attentive to traffic, road, and weather conditions while ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers. Knowledge of traffic laws and regulations necessary to operate vehicles safely and courteously. Strong communication and interpersonal skills when interacting with students, staff, parents, and the public. Demonstrated reliability, punctuality, and commitment to student safety.
