CAD Designer

CAD Designer / Product DrafterOxford Solutions is working with a client seeking a CAD Designer / Product Drafter for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is onsite and will support product design, documentation, and production drawing needs in a manufacturing environment.The ideal candidate will have experience creating technical drawings, working with 3D modeling software, and supporting product documentation from initial design through production release. This is a strong opportunity for someone with CAD experience who enjoys working closely with engineering, manufacturing, assembly, and quality teams.Responsibilities:Prepare assembly and component drawings for sales orders, customer inquiries, and new product development using PTC Creo softwareMaintain product configurations, generate bills of material, and load component and assembly data into the ERP systemPrepare production and submittal packages for internal and external use, including 2D and 3D electronic files, special tagging, notations, and printed documentationComplete drawing revisions and modifications, including related updates within the ERP systemWork with assembly, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to help resolve drawing, production, or documentation issuesSupport department procedures and assist with CAD-related training for new team members as neededQualifications:Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred2+ years of experience in CAD design, drafting, or product evaluation testing3D modeling experience preferredExperience creating and modifying technical drawings, schematics, assemblies, and component documentationAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate design and ERP documentationGood communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams
