Academic Professional Assistant/Associate Professor

Position: Academic Professional Assistant/Associate Professor (Non‑Tenure) in Kinesiology, UNC Greensboro. Position Summary We seek an Academic Professional in Kinesiology to teach undergraduate physiology and related lab‑based courses, as well as two sections of Introduction to Interprofessional Education and Practice each semester to support the Human Health Sciences undergraduate degree. This is a 9‑month appointment, renewable, with potential summer teaching. Responsibilities Teach Kinesiology courses such as Human Anatomy & Physiology, Exercise Physiology, and Human Health Sciences courses including Introduction to Interprofessional Education and Practice, and Seminar in Interprofessional Education and Practice. Coordinate undergraduate kinesiology labs, including scheduling, inventory management, and supervision of graduate student assistants who teach labs. Advise undergraduate students on course selections and graduation planning. Engage in departmental, university, and community service, including building relationships across the School of Health and Human Sciences and other units that share curricular requirements. Minimum Qualifications Terminal clinical or academic doctorate degree in kinesiology, health sciences, or a related area with expertise in human physiology. Previous clinical experience in an interprofessional health care setting or advanced degrees in two distinct disciplines within health and human sciences. Preferred Qualifications Prior teaching experience in higher education. Additional Details Tenure Status: Not on Track. Recruitment Range: Commensurate with experience.
